Short, exact, and honest about limits.

What it is, what it is not

ZecRoute is a routing interface. It plans and orders your swap, hop by hop, and sends the output to the address you name. It is not a wallet, it never holds your funds, it does not promise anonymity and it cannot make a transaction untraceable.

Normal swap and private swap

A normal swap goes straight across: your asset in, your chosen asset out to the address you typed. A private swap warps the value through Zcash first — your asset to ZEC, then ZEC to the asset you want — so the in-leg and the out-leg sit on different chains with a shielded asset in between. If a hop is impossible you see “No private route” and nothing is created.

Relay, the ZecRoute courier fox

Relay carries the dispatch. He does not hold it.

Fees, minimums, memos

Each hop carries its own rate and network fee, so a private swap costs more than a normal one. The quote you see is the estimate after every hop. Minimums are set by the first hop; below the minimum the quote refuses instead of guessing. Assets such as XRP, ATOM and XLM require an extra ID, memo or destination tag — it is required in the form and validated before any deposit address exists.

Refunds

Add a refund address under Advanced. If the first hop fails or a deposit arrives outside limits, funds are returned there. Without a refund address, recovery depends on a manual support process and can take longer.

How execution works

A normal swap is a single routed transaction. A private swap is two sequential transactions, with the first payout chained into the second deposit address. All routing traffic runs through our server; credentials never reach the browser.

Token rail is not swap custody

$ZECR lives on stonk.fun and has nothing to do with the custody or execution of your swap. Holding it does not change your route, your fees or your refund rights. See the token page.

Risk

Two hops mean two chances to fail, and more time exposed to rate movement. Chain analysis is an active field; routing raises cost for an observer, it does not erase a trail. Type the destination address carefully — hops are irreversible once confirmed.
