The quote asset stays ZEC. It does not change.
What protocol income does
Protocol fees and creator-fee income buy $ZECR on the open market, and most of what is bought is burned.
- 60% buybacks — at least 80% of bought supply burned
- 10% optional extra ZEC to holders
- 30% treasury: hop buffers, refunds, infrastructure
